I’ve been a teacher for 32 years including 16 years in senior leadership and 8 years as Headteacher of South Wirral High School.

South Wirral is a specialist Performing Arts college and I am proud that I was able to preserve the integral place of the Arts in its curriculum, to this day. The achievement that I am most proud of is developing a team of leaders that improved the school to a good Ofsted rating and created a culture of continuous improvement.

My particular passion is the professional development of all our staff to ensure that we offer the very best education and support to our young people. In my current role I work with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts to support school improvement and with leaders as an executive coach and mentor.

I’m also a parent of two daughters who share a passion for the Arts and are now following their dreams at university.
