Future Memories A Youth Makers Project

Working towards an exhibition at the Hat Works Museum in Stockport, the learners have taken their inspiration from different aspects of history. This exciting opportunity has enabled them to develop their ideas through exploring and experimenting with a wide range of techniques and processes including mixed media, textiles and photography.

The starting point for the project was to look at historical costume through the ages, each learner selected a different era and theme and using research and techniques to explore a range of ideas.

Through experimenting, the learners developed their ideas and used skills that they had learnt to construct art-based garments that convey a story.
