About Me
Since 2016, the Director of SEND at The Manchester College, with overall responsibility for High Needs provision and promotion of the Graduated Response across the whole college curriculum. An Economics and Politics graduate who spent the first six years of working life in Retail Management, subsequently moving into education in 1992 and remaining in the Sixth Form College and Further Education since.
Operating at Head of Department level and above now for 30 years, initially leading in Business and Economics Education, moving into senior leadership and executing roles as Head of Centre, College Safeguarding Lead, Vice Principal Curriculum and Quality, Head of Learner Services, Assistant Principal Organisational Excellence and into my current role, responsible for 600 students with EHCPs and promoting SEND to an EFA cohort of over 5000 students.
I am married with three children, one still at home, and in my spare time I like to walk, cycle and follow football and other sports.
