I began my working life as a primary school teacher and after five years retrained to become a speech and language therapist. I worked in a busy NHS children’s community service for 20 years, which I enjoyed very much. My role at Project Inc allows me to work more flexibly and creatively to promote confidence in the young people as effective communicators, whatever style or medium they use. I also want to share information and resources with the families of our students; things that I have gathered over the years through being the parent of an autistic teen. I am committed to encouraging society to understand, accept and be curious about communication differences.
